INTRODUCTION
October – my favourite month! The month where the crisp, frosty mornings fill the air, and the nights draw in becoming cosy evenings.
My month started busier than ever. Assisting the production for Bath Festivals, on the children’s Literature Festival. I had the most incredible experience working with the inspiring authors and managing the different author talks.
In the casos of everything, The Ringmaster is slowly creeping up upon me and I am heads down in the writing process. Developing characters, adventures, and making dreams come true. Lots of meetings have been taking place about where the production will be travelling to next year and talking with Scott about our aims and intentions of the production - I can’t wait to share it with you!
UNIVERSITY
This month, I have started my second year at university. I have been excited for the new year to start, as I have been able to specialise in my chosen subjects. I have picked production management and scenic design – the perfect skills for a producer!
In the first year, we weren’t given the opportunity to study Production management but it’s the reason I joined the course! I love learning about the different elements that involves becoming a good producer. As someone who likes to ask a lot of questions, it is even more beneficial as I am the only person studying it!
When I am not studying the creative and practicalities of the theatrical industry, this year we get given show roles! Our first hands on experience and the first time many have even stepped on a stage. With university, we’ve all joined a course where we all have different experiences. This does mean we are able to support one another when someone is struggling.

Tickets are flying out for my show The Ringmaster! I feel very lucky to be surrounded by the most amazing team who are busy working away to make this show happen. The start of the year is going to be very busy with the most exciting opportunities, and there is not long to wait!

October has taught me to find the light even in the busiest of times. With lots on my mind personally and professionally it’s important to not give up and not lose hope!Until next month,
