“Harvey always had a dream of starting his own circus, and one summer he did just that! Join the magical adventure which will take you on a journey of friendship, love, and determination. Harvey, with the help from his friends and his trusted companion Coco, put together a show that would capture the imagination of the neighbourhood. Come and dream under the twinkling big top that graces the stage and tell a story that unfolds in front of your eyes. So, ask yourself, would you run away and join the circus?”
THE STORY BEHIND THE SHOW
It is with great pleasure to announce to you my first live production The Ringmaster, which will be premiering next month at The Mission Theatre in Bath. My university runs SparkFest which is essentially a mini-Edinburgh Fringe, where students can perform, produce etc their own shows. I feel very privileged to able to produce my own production in my first year of university.
The inspiration of the show came from when I was 10 years old. I put the idea to my friends to perform our own circus in my garden. Where I took on the challenge to bring magic to the neighbourhood. Fabricating ideas from my own imagination to create the production, Aylmer's Circus happened for four years, and we raised money for cancer research. That circus has been my proudest moment and I am very excited to have my story performed on stage. Helping to bring the magic alive is Scott Jerram. He is the current Artistic Director at Maple Leaf Theatre Productions and is currently working on a show for the Bath Fringe Festival. He has Directed many shows in the past including 'A Winter's Tale' & An original show called Life Or Death. He looks forward to audiences seeing the show.
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
“I am excited to be working on this piece. It is something different to what I've done before so it feels like a breath of fresh air to be able to do something like this. I think that working with Harvey and helping him take his first steps in the world of producing is nice as I have learnt a lot from the mentors that I had when I was a bit younger.”
