INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my first monthly Newsletter. I will be writing every month about my life and small business. The goal is to become a circus producer but until then i’m finding my path and running Self-Care Sundays. An Etsy store where I sell hand embroidered tote bags, candles, pleated lampshades, and vases. I will also use this newsletter to share products that will be launching in the future and offering a pre-order link!
LEAVING THE CIRCUS
I was 18 months when I first stepped into the Giffords Circus tent. I think I probably knew then what I wanted to do then. It’s never changed. I’ve always wanted to run my own circus.
For the past 5 months, I’ve been living in a lorry and touring around the South-west with Giffords circus. Not the usual career path is it!
I’m about to start University and I think I’ll be the only one who ran away with the circus, living with acrobats and dancing till sunrise. Giffords was somewhere I’ve wanted to work since I was little and used to dream of waking up next to the big top.
I’m writing this on a cloudy Tuesday morning, and I leave the circus on Friday. I think usually it would feel quite daunting leaving somewhere you’ve dreamed of working and feel comfortable in to sudden leave and put it all behind you to start University. But not me. I think i’m at the stage mentally in life to move on and start creating more of my dreams and goals. At University I will be studying a theatre production course where I will enter my next chapter in becoming a circus producer.
BUSINESS & FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS
On the 1st January 2021, I started my own small business. I wanted this “newsletter” if you want to call It that, to be about not own what i’m personally doing to reach my own goals but to also share an insight on how I keep everything afloat. to
Following your dreams is something i’m passionate about. We have one life and I don’t want to spend it doing something I hate or which is not on the road to reaching my end goal. In life I think you have to just take a chance because you never know. Working on different projects is something I strive from. Currently I’m working on something which I’ve wanted to do since 2017 and its finally happening. When it’s announced or talked about, I don’t know, but for now i’m enjoying and learning on the journey.
My spare time means a lot to me. I need to be alone to be creative and being creative is what I need to do. I always find myself cut off from certain accepts from life but that’s what I choose to do. I‘d rather work on a project alone than going out drinking — although I need too sometimes!
